Dale Rempel has been named president of the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC) at the annual general meeting held in Banff this past September.
This is the highest position an insurance broker can fill and we are very proud of Dale especially when you consider the health issues that he has gone through the last few years.
This position involves a lot of responsibilities and requires a great amount of time.
The IBAC acts as the national voice for property and casualty insurance brokers and is an advocate for insurance consumers, representing their interests to the Canadian government. They are governed by a board of directors consisting of brokers from across Canada.
Dale started in the insurance business in 1988, purchasing their first business in Morris with his wife Lynn in 1990. This past year the business moved into their new building down the street.
Dale has the P. Ag. designation which has allowed him to develop the Niche Market of Agriculture insurance.
He was first on the executive board of the Insurance Brokers Association of Manitoba in 1996 and became president in 2003. More recently he has worked with professional development for brokers.
Dale was vice-president of the IBAC board in 2008.
Dale has always been a huge supporter of community. He has been involved in coaching minor sports, involved with the economic development board, president and owner of the Pembina Valley Twisters of the MMJHL, director on Valley Ag. Society and the Manitoba Stampede.
