After a courageous battle with brain cancer, Dale Rempel passed away on Friday, October 5th, 2012, at home, at the age of 49 years.
Dale started as a labourer in concrete then grain bin construction and after that a farm hand. Later he started a lawn care company. He sold Hail Insurance while going to University to get his Agriculture Degree and became a Professional Agrologist. He worked with farmers through his involvement with Hoechst Canada. He used that knowledge to begin selling insurance to people he knew in the agricultural sector – farmers and Ag businesses.
He achieved a dream of building a new office in 2010, so that his customers could continue to be served in Manitoba by Rempel Insurance Brokers Ltd.
Dale is a Past President of the Insurance Brokers Association of Manitoba (IBAM) and recently completed the 2011-2012 term as President of Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC).
Over the years Dale has also contributed both time and/or financial support to numerous local organizations, Children’s Wish Foundation, CNIBC, and Cancer Care Manitoba.
A man of incredible vision, strength and energy, Dale’s dedication to professional and community volunteerism encourages others to follow his lead.
Those closest to Dale remember him for his smile, for his childlike personality that exuded energy, spontaneity, and love of life.
